SPACE UNIT
They started off by hand painting a big ball of burning gas (The Sun)
They learned that the sun keeps the earth warm.
They practiced being the earth and orbiting the sun. While they sang "The Earth goes around the sun, the earth goes around the sun. Once a year every year the Earth goes around the sun." (Tune of Farmer in the Dell)
Next they learned about all of the other planets in our solar system. They practiced their cutting skills as they colored and cut out the planets.
They also learned a planets song that goes like this "Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. Then comes Jupiter, oh my stars! Saturn, Uranus, Neptune too, that's all the planets zippidy doo!" (Tune of Zippidy Doo Da)
We learned the letters R and S.
Here are a few things they do when they are not doing preschool.

They made magic night pictures that turned out really cute.
They practiced counting with stars.
Penguins! They practiced walking with their penguin eggs on their feet just like the daddy penguins.
