Apples, Apples, Apples

We read the book by Dr. Suess Ten Apples Up On Top
The kids practiced balancing apples and then we took pictures with 10 apples balancing on their heads.

The kids learned about Johnny Appleseed and received little seed pouches that they put their apple seeds in as we sampled red, green and yellow apples. Each child got to pick an apple from our apple tree in the playground.
We painted apples...

They used their small motor and counting skills to create play dough apples for our tree.

They stamped green apples onto all of the letter Aa's they could find.

They sorted our red green and yellow pom pom apples.

....and sorted the letters Ee, Bb and Aa into apple bags.

The kids are still enjoying lots of outside time while the weather is still good.
