Walking Through The Arctic...

We started off our Arctic Adventure with some Snow Man Science.
First we brought some snow in and built us a snowman.

And then we watched it all day to see how long it took to melt.
For one of our snack times we made Marshmallow Snowmen.

They were Finger Licking Good!

                                           We learned about Circles
                                           and made
Snowmen starting from Largest to Smallest.

We played a game called "Melt The Ice"

Each Child was given an ice cube and a napkin.
When it was their turn they would roll the dice. Each number rolled had different instructions they had to do to try and melt their ice.
Some of them had to hold the ice in their hand for 10 seconds.
Others had to put it down their shirt.

Sometimes they got to blow on it for 10 seconds.

Or drop it from way up high!

If they got lucky they got to put it in cold water for 10 seconds.
Tatum Ruby ended up being our winner, when she dropped it down her shirt....

and it never came back out!

Another favorite game was musical icebergs.
They walked on icebergs that were numbered from 1-14, they had to stay on them or they would sink. When the music stopped I would hold up a number and if they were on that number they picked out an Arctic themed sticker. So much fun!
