Kindness Begins With Me
I have been making a big effort to encourage and teach the kids about being kind. We have talked about using kind words, sharing and taking turns, including everyone and caring and helping each other.
The Children have a "Kindness Jar" that they get to put a shiny rock in each day that they have been kind. I am teaching them that part of being kind is to apologize when we make a mistake. When the Jar is filled up the children will get a new covered sandbox in the playground.
They have responded really well so far, and I am noticing a big improvement in their efforts to be kind and courteous to each other.
Ask them to sing their Kindness song, they all know it!
